This role is responsible for performing cleaning duties and related services throughout both patient and non-patient areas, helping to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across the facility. Responsibilities Effectively performs a variety of housekeeping functions including mopping, dusting, sanitizing, wiping, scrubbing, buffing, and other manual jobs on floors, walls, beds, furniture, fixtures etc. Operates floor-cleaning machinery to maintain hard flooring and carpets. Collects and disposes of regular and medical wastes at loading dock. Replenishes soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other supplies as needed. Maintains housekeeping cart and equipment. Hangs drapes and curtains and moves furniture as necessary. Assembles set ups as requested by departments. Distributes clean linen and collects and stores dirty linen for pick up. Responsible for disinfecting and cleaning the following spaces to include, but not limited to: Public Waiting Areas Cafeteria/Kitchen Settings Personal offices and cubicle spaces Outpatient Services Departmental Cleaning (Therapy, Radiology, Laboratory, etc) Bathrooms Performs patient/resident room cleaning and discharge cleaning, including those areas contaminated or potentially contaminated with an emerging viral pathogen. Performs terminal cleanings in Operating Room (OR) suites Cleans and disinfects designated supply areas and scrub areas. Adheres to Infection Control and departmental guidelines. Completes assignments in timely manner and utilizes time effectively. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Ability to understand oral/written instructions in English.
