JOB DESCRIPTION: The Nurse Practice Specialist is the clinical and education lead for a program or an area of defined nursing practice. Considers cultural influences and is cognizant of the diverse needs of patients, families, staff, and other professionals. Demonstrates leadership in ethical decision- making and patient advocacy. Engages in ongoing self-appraisal, seeking feedback from colleagues, other professionals, patients, and families. Leads implementation in the principles of fair and just culture. Utilizes coaching to facilitate optimally functioning staff and multidisciplinary teams applying advanced communication skills.
