  • Escort patients safely to other departments and theatre, using appropriate patient-handling techniques.
  • Support the delivery and documentation of individual patient care plans and pathways.
  • Report clinical concerns, accidents, maintenance issues and potential risks to the appropriate Registered Nurse.
  • Assist with general administrative duties, communication and accurate documentation when required.
  • Follow infection prevention, health and safety and safer patient-handling procedures at all times.
  • Participate in mandatory training, relevant e-learning and ongoing competency development.
  • Recognise professional limitations and seek guidance from Registered Nurses or Therapists when required.

About You

The successful candidate will be a compassionate, reliable and proactive Healthcare Assistant who is committed to delivering excellent patient care.

You will have:

  • Previous experience providing patient care within a hospital, healthcare or care setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A caring and respectful approach to supporting patients and their families.
  • An understanding of patient dignity, confidentiality and infection prevention.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A willingness to undertake further training and work towards relevant City & Guilds/NVQ qualifications.
  • A proactive approach with a genuine commitment to learning and professional development.

Benefits

  • 27 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 31 days with length of service.
  • Private Medical Insurance (BUPA) for staff working over 30 hours per week.
  • Westfield Health Cash Plan.
  • Pension: 3% employee and 6% employer contribution, with salary sacrifice available and employer National Insurance savings paid back into the pension.
  • Pension adviser available on site.
  • Free onsite parking and lunch.
  • Free onsite gym.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay.
  • Family-friendly carers policy.
  • Menopause support and women's health services available onsite.
  • Free eye tests.
  • Long-service awards.
  • Annual guaranteed salary uplift and benchmarking each July.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive private healthcare environment where you will work as part of an experienced clinical team and have access to ongoing training and development.
