We are seeking an experienced barista to join our small teamin a unique and beautiful coffee shop on a bustling high street in Earls Colne, Essex. Amongst pubs, shops & salons, and a primary school a short walk, this can be a busy & fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be an upbeat and charismatic individual with a passion for coffee and an interest and experience in food handling, ensuring an excellent drinking & overall experience for our customers, many of whom will be locals & returning customers. To be successful in this role, you should have exceptional customer service skills, be proactive & have a can-do attitude. You should also be able to work various shifts with flexibility.
Key Responsibilities

Operational:

• Opening and closing, ensuring readiness for service each day Preparing and serving made-to-order food offerings (including helping create menus and seasonal specials) Serving high-quality coffee Ensure the shop is clean, organised, and well-maintainedthroughout (including assisting with inventory management) Maintain health and safety standards

Customer Service:

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent, accurate and efficient service Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers

Qualifications:

• L2 health hygiene Proven prior barista experience is required along with food preparation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent customer service and communication abilities Knowledge of coffee and coffee-making equipment Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Ability to reliably commute

Schedule:

• Day shift Opening hours – Friday / Monday / Tuesday 8am – 4pm and Saturday / Sunday 9am – 3pm (with a view to open 7 days in the future)
