JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team with day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will help maintain cleanliness, assist with food preparation, and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is a plus, but not essential
• Knowledge of basic food hygiene and kitchen safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods
• Team player with a positive and flexible attitude
  Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
  Pay: From £13.50 per hour
  Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation (e.g., chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients)
• Keep kitchen areas clean and sanitized, including washing dishes, utensils, and work surfaces
• Help unload and store deliveries
• Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
• Ensure all kitchen equipment and appliances are cleaned and maintained
• Follow health and safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
• Help organize stock and notify chef of shortages
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager
• Help train the younger kitchen assistants
