Job Role: Chef
Location: Hawthorne House, CV4 9QS
Pay Rate: £13.14 - £14.00 per hour (DOE)
Shift Pattern : 5:30 a.m - 4 p.m.
Contracted Hours: 40-hour contract

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in catering or kitchen work
• Basic food hygiene knowledge
• Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented
• Willing to complete training (Food Hygiene, Health & Safety)

DESIRABLE:

• Food Hygiene Level 2/3
• Experience in healthcare or care home kitchens

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking for a Chef to join our team on a permanent basis. We require staff that are compassionate and empathetic to the needs of our services. As a Chef, you’ll play a key role in preparing, plating, and serving meals, ensuring high standards of nutrition, hygiene, and presentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and cook meals, including special diets (e.g., purees, diabetic-friendly).
• Plate and serve food attractively and hygienically.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen.
• Monitor food storage, temperature logs, and deliveries.
• Assist with snacks and catering for events and themed nights.
