POSITION OVERVIEW:

We have a full-time position available for a dynamic person within our operations team, based in Montreal, QC. This position requires full-time physical presence at the office.
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for handling freight shipments for clients utilizing various modes of transport. This includes providing rate quotations, negotiating rates with carriers, booking transportation, and completing necessary documentation. The Logistics Coordinator is expected to provide guidance and alternatives to clients to ensure shipments move quickly and efficiently from origin to destination.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• College degree, or equivalent relevant education or experience.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude especially when dealing with issues under pressure.
• Problem solver.
• Knowledge of imports and exports.
• Inside sales/customer service experience in an industrial environment, preferably in valves and flow control products are an asset.
• Effective time management and task management skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in French and English.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills (in person, on the phone, and via email) and computer literacy in a high-paced office environment.
• A good understanding of an industrial manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products. Preferable experience with CRM/ERP/MRP Systems.

• Ensure all shipping requirements and functions are completed accurately and in a timely fashion.·
• Establish, update, and maintain shipping schedule for all shipments.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with customers and colleagues.·
• Customer service oriented, follow up with clients.·
• Prepare the various necessary shipping documentation.·
• Keep customers and internal software updated with progress until shipment completion.·
• Troubleshoot shipment activity as necessary.·
• Prepare documentation for customs clearance of ocean containers.·
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.·
• Perform general office and warehouse duties, as required.
