POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Laundry Attendant is to ensure that linen is clean, sanitized and available for use by hotel Housekeepers and other departments as needed while complying with the Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards / security procedures. This position is responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, sorting and distribution of all hotel linen. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.                                                                                                                                                                                           Laundry (85%):  * Sort laundry by fabric type, color, item, and soil concentration to maximize cleaning effectiveness * Remove damaged or stained items before loading washers, pretreat stains as needed * Ensure washer/dryer loads to recommended capacities * Set washers and dryers to appropriate cycles, heating, and cooling times to ensure safe and efficient laundering * Operate, maintain, and clean laundry equipment following company standards * Press, fold, and stack all linens * Assist in delivering linens to designated closets and storage areas to meet production standards * Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping, mopping, and ensuring that the laundry area is organized and free of safety hazards Perform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, food safety and sanitation requirements and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards and security procedures. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations.
