We are on a journey to transform the way we plan, prioritize, and deliver cutting-edge hardware solutions, and that’s why we are looking for a new colleague to support our leadership team.
“This role offers the chance to shape the future of hardware development by guiding strategy, planning, and innovation at a global scale. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, shaping decisions that connect vision with real-world execution” says your new manager Michael Erhardt, Director R&D - Device Hardware, Architecture & Solution
ADVISING, SUPPORTING AND SPARRING WITH THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
In this new position, we’re looking for a goal-oriented and structured R&D Portfolio and Technology Manager to support our Device Hardware leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in strategic planning, resource management, and process development across a global R&D organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing future resource needs across multiple product development streams, helping ensure long-term capacity planning in close collaboration with Device Hardware leadership. You’ll act as a trusted partner, providing insights and guidance on cross-functional planning, while aligning efforts with Lean Portfolio Management and the Value Management Office.
Scenario planning is a key part of the job - you will anticipate challenges in the hardware roadmap and help mitigate risks before they become roadblocks. Your ability to connect strategic vision with operational needs will be crucial in supporting seamless product development in a regulated environment.
As we transition from traditional V-model development to SAFe agile practices, you’ll also help optimize and evolve our planning and reporting methods. Your involvement will be essential in improving our procedures, establishing relevant KPIs, and increasing transparency and predictability throughout our R&D initiatives.
