Payworks develops proprietary, integrated SaaS-based products in the payroll, human resources and time and attendance space. We create, deploy and maintain our own solutions; this requires a talented team of Developers who are excellent critical thinkers, problem solvers and are driven to create products that work better. Individual drive and team collaboration are the keys to success; we feel that exceptional and inventive development comes naturally to teams that are having fun and working together. Reporting to the Team Leader, the Software Developer will be responsible for projects developing software solutions for new and existing clients. The development of these innovative solutions is designed to meet our clients’ unique business needs. You will get the chance to work with our top-notch team to build out and connect various interfaces, including mobile interfaces, to our Service Based Architecture.

• Creatively solve problems – We love to solve problems! You will take on coding problems and implement coding solutions independently, with assistance from your team on more complex issues as required. You will update tickets with solution details, testing notes and results independently.
• Work with a collaborative team – We believe that when we work together we become greater than the sum of our parts. You will be an effective collaborator and contribute as part of a squad. Participating in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and providing feedback to other developers will be important aspects of collaborating with your squad.
• Make great products even better – We build great products that delight our customers! Along with your team, you will to monitor, maintain and support existing functionality by resolving defects and enhancing the user experience. We are user focused and motivated to deliver high quality products that exceed our customers’ expectations.

THE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER HAS THE OPTION TO WORK FULLY OUT OF THE PAYWORKS HEAD OFFICE IN WINNIPEG OFFICE OR ON A HYBRID WORK MODEL, WORKING IN THE OFFICE AT LEAST THREE (3) DAYS A WEEK. THIS ROLE MAY REQUIRE PARTICIPATION IN AN ON-CALL ROTATION FOR AFTER-HOURS SUPPORT, INCLUDING EVENINGS, WEEKENDS, AND HOLIDAYS, AS NEEDED.
