Program Summary The Preschool Team’s purpose is to provide safe and accepting learning environments and engaging interactions for the children in their care. Position Summary The Preschool Site Coordinator position demands a strong and varied skillset, the core components of which are detailed program management, effective and supportive supervision, and savvy partner and stakeholder stewardship. Our ideal candidate will have great relational (“people”) skills, will be able to maintain composure under stress, will be approachable and collaborative with staff, upper management and will effectively represent IRCO and the specific needs of its immigrant and refugee client base. The primary responsibility is to coordinate the Preschool for All programs and supervise the teaching team. The Preschool Site Coordinator is responsible for implementation, reporting, and evaluation of staff, with the support of the Preschool Programs Assistant Manager. This includes using tools and templates to complete workplans/work production schedule, ensure implementation of processes and annual plans in accordance with IRCO and Preschool Promise program requirements. The Preschool Site Coordinator is expected to create and draft plans and documents for review by the Assistant Manager and contribute to the design of new processes. The Preschool Site Coordinator will establish positive and collaborative relationships with the teaching team, Early Learning Leadership, and community stakeholders to ensure alignment with best practices specifically related to early childhood and services for families that are centered on Preschool Promise program goals. The Preschool Site Coordinator works in an extremely multi-background environment and provides services that meet IRCO goals and objectives for many different populations. The Preschool Site Coordinator provides ongoing reflective supervision, training, and support to the teaching team. With the recommendation to the Assistant Manager for recruiting, hiring, discipline or termination of program staff. The Preschool Site Coordinator monitors progress towards program goals and completes program & agency reporting/budgeting in collaboration with the Assistant Manager and/or Early Learning Director. The Preschool Site Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and tracking program expenses. Essential Functions Coordinate daily preschool program activities and schedules; ensure high-quality, community-aware approach delivery; oversee student enrollment; and maintain all program records Supervise teaching teams; monitor and evaluate performance; recommend staff hiring/staff terminations within organization policies and procedures to Preschool Programs Assistant Manager Serve as the primary point of contact with all governmental and regulatory bodies in connection with the Preschool; ensure compliance with state licensing and Preschool Promise requirements Train and orient new employees; encourage and ensure optimal communication through regular meetings. Ensure consistent interpretation of Agency policies. Consult with Assistant Manager, Early Learning Director, and Human Resources regarding staffing needs, disciplinary issues, work plans, etc. Perform assessment and referral; training; supportive reflective supervision; and other services as needed to fulfill program goals and objectives Assist the Assistant Manager with strategic planning for division programs and services Monitor $400 K + program expenses such as personnel, supplies, local travel, client assistance, and professional development as directed by Assistant Manager. Conduct outreach activities to promote programs and Agency objectives within the community. Establish and maintain cooperative external relationships with community partners, volunteer agencies, the community, and the public. Participate in committees and groups as required to fulfill program goals and deliverables.
