In this role, a typical day will include: Social Media Management: Develop engaging social media copy and playbooks, and manage internal approvals (Medical, Regulatory, Legal) through the Veeva Vault Platform Contribute to the creation of compelling multimedia content—including digital images, videos, and copy—and execute and optimize social media campaigns across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues across Marketing & Communications to bring creative ideas to life Support the development and implementation of Alcon’s social media strategies and best practices, engaging stakeholders and partners Social Media Governance: Monitor, moderate, and provide compliance reporting for social media channels on a ongoing basis Track and analyze performance data, deliver campaign reports, assess engagement, and recommend improvements to maximize reach and effectiveness using key metrics and analytics Project Coordination: Work closely with communications and marketing teams, as well as agency partners, to support integrated marketing and PR campaigns Assist in planning and management of social media editorial calendar Drive employee engagement and promote social media literacy across the organization Other administrative support tasks as assigned by the Communications team WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON: Minimum: Post-Secondary, University degree in progress or completed in a program of study such as Social Media Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related Ability to work full-time starting in January for a 4-6 month work term at minimum A natural storyteller and clear communicator who creates compelling, audience-first digital content Experience in and a passion for social media content creation, particularly social video content creation is a strong asset.
