Vous aurez à relever les défis reliés aux différents programmes de moteurs, à évaluer les moteurs aux différents stades de leur cycle de vie et à travailler en équipe avec plusieurs organisations d’ingénierie. Qu’il s’agisse d’une flotte vieillissante ou de la mise en service d’un nouveau moteur, vous constaterez qu’il y a sans cesse des défis à relever ! Ce poste est à temps plein, du lundi au vendredi, avec des horaires flexibles à Saint-Hubert, et s'effectue exclusivement sur site. À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ? Examiner une variété de composants de moteur, notamment des carters de réducteur, des arbres de transmission, des rotors de compresseur, des disques, des chambres à combustion, des aubes ou des tuyères, dans des conditions réelles qui sortent du cadre des instructions approuvées et publiées (comme les manuels de révision), selon les rapports de différents services d’inspection. Interagir avec certains clients principaux, comme les centres de révision de P&WC notamment l’établissement de St-Hubert, ainsi que de nombreux centres de révision autorisés dans le monde entier et des ateliers autorisés de réparations de composants. S’assurer que le composant de moteur est toujours conforme au but de la conception initiale et qu’il est sécuritaire pour le vol. Les anomalies types incluent la corrosion, la fissuration, la déformation, l’usure, les bosselures, les écarts dimensionnels, etc. Répondre aux exigences de navigabilité; l’ingénieur doit comprendre parfaitement le fonctionnement du composant. Selon l’anomalie observée, de nombreux aspects doivent être pris en considération : intégrité structurale, rendement, dynamique, matériaux, circuits d’air ou d’huile, etc. L’extrant du processus est une décision technique détaillée d’acceptation, de réparation ou de refus du composant présentant l’anomalie.
