As our operations in Alberta continue to grow, we’re looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Edmonton, AB team; someone with hands-on experience supporting New Build, TI, and Renovation/Expansion projects, strong technical and administrative expertise in construction processes, and the organizational drive to keep projects, teams and clients aligned from pre-construction through close-out.

About You

You’re a detail-oriented Project Coordinator with a strong understanding of commercial construction, supporting projects from bidding through closeout. You’ve worked alongside Project Managers and Site Superintendents in dynamic environments, managing RFIs, shop drawings, schedules, cost tracking, and document control to keep projects on track. Organized and technically proficient, you proactively identify risks, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and build strong working relationships. You understand how your role directly influences safety, quality, budgets, schedules, and overall project success.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the project team (project manager and site superintendent) for the overall project performance, including development of short and long term scheduling, RFIs, coordination of onsite activities, and reporting of key project performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with project team members and other stakeholders to identify, develop, implement and support cost-effective project delivery.
  • Provide overall technical assistance of the project life cycle during the bidding, planning, mobilization, execution and demobilization phases, identifying and managing key risk items with the project team.
  • Assists in the change management processes and maintain accurate logs and ensures timely submission and reviews.
  • Build, Develop, and Maintain relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Manage the project documentation controls system. Maintain the current construction documents, administer requests for information, administer the shop drawing submissions and samples, issue accurate meeting minutes and assist with maintaining the project schedule.
  • Assist with the project close out activities, project commissioning, as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals compilation.
  • Actively participate in the safety culture in our organization.
  • Other duties, as required.

Your Key Qualifications

  • Diploma in Construction Engineering Technology (CET), Architectural Technologies (AT), Architectural Building Technologies (ABT) or degree from an accredited engineering or construction management program
  • 3-5 years experience as a Project Coordinator in commercial construction
  • Ability to identify construction challenges, use basic engineering and problem-solving principles to present solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Sound decision-making skills while under limited supervision
