Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in the Europe we are currently recruiting for an experienced Operational Project Accountant. Based in Dublin, you will oversee the financials of a Data Centre project portfolio across Europe. This role is crucial to driving financial accuracy, supporting business operations, and enhancing efficiency. It requires a self‑motivated and confident individual with strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Own the full financial governance of a multi-project Data Centre portfolio across Europe, driving accuracy, transparency, and commercial performance. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with regional and global business objectives. Provide strategic financial insight and challenge to senior stakeholders to optimize project profitability and cash flow. Establish and continuously improve financial controls, processes, and reporting standards across the portfolio. Develop and deliver high-quality financial reporting packs and dashboards to support executive decision-making. Oversee the end-to-end invoicing lifecycle (client and supply chain), ensuring timely billing, revenue recognition, and working capital optimisation. Partner with Project Directors and operational leads to proactively identify risks, opportunities, and cost efficiencies. Performance Management / D365: Take overall accountability for job profitability, margin performance, and financial risk management across all active engagements. Act as a subject matter expert for D365, driving best practice adoption across finance and operations teams. Lead system improvements, process standardization, and data integrity initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy and reporting quality. Commission Oversight: Lead monthly financial and commission reviews with senior leadership, providing actionable insights to improve margin performance and operational efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive accountability across project teams. Business Generation: Support bid processes through commercial modelling and margin projection. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure trust and effective collaboration across teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 10+ years of relevant experience covering the responsibilities outlined, ideally gained within the construction environment. A minimum of 3 years’ experience with D365, specifically in payments and forecasting. Strong finance/accountancy background with proven expertise in cash flow management, forecasting, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Excel, with advanced skills for financial analysis and modelling. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle diverse stakeholders effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with strong prioritization and time management skills.
