Champion engineering best practices in documentation, safety, risk management, traceability, and regulatory compliance. Ensure robust validation strategies for complex test systems. Portfolio, Resource & Budget Management Oversee the portfolio of test development projects, ensuring prioritisation aligns with business needs and manufacturing readiness. Own resource planning for the team, including headcount strategy, contractor engagement, equipment investment, and capital forecasting. Manage functional budgets, capital requests, and long‑term test infrastructure investments. Balance competing priorities across multiple high‑impact NPD and sustaining programs. Cross‑Functional & Stakeholder Leadership Serve as the primary test process engineering leader interfacing with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management for test‑related topics. Influence early product architecture to ensure designs are testable, automatable, cost‑effective, and scalable. Collaborate with global test development teams to share standards, align on platform strategies, and leverage reusable design assets. Build partnerships with external suppliers, integrators, and technology partners to support test capability expansion.
