ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

Temporary role as a strategic solution architect and expert for the company’s corporate-wide fixed telephony, satellite phones, and PABX solutions. The Technology Infrastructure Unit (TDI EIP) at company is responsible for delivering these products to ensure business continuity and safety at plants and offshore locations in case of incidents, cyber-attacks, and other communication outages. The role we are looking to fill will take responsibility for this area, focusing on a strategic roadmap to secure necessary modernization and improvements. This will be done in close collaboration with our external partner, who handles the day-to-day operation of these products.

• Set direction and modernize the existing product landscape to secure compliance and reduce cyber and business risk.
• Looking for new opportunities in the market and use of market standards
• Have focus on cost-efficient solutions in a life cycle perspective.
• Ability to collaborate with important internal and external stakeholders to motivate for change and improvements

Skills

• Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communication Manager solutions (both cable and wireless) – future solutions.
• Good knowledge and experience with TDM and PBX systems (Alcatel OMNI) – legacy solutions
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, satellite phone systems.
• Language: English and Norwegian
• Beneficial to have knowledge of hybrid phone systems using FemtoCell, 5G and integration towards PBX.
• Beneficial to have knowledge of voice systems in ATEX/EX environments.
• Other beneficial knowledge includes: Zission, Puzzel, Competella, SBC, SBS Ribbon, CloudeNine, IAG, Voicelog, Team Telephony, etc.
