UNDERWRITER PROPERTY (M/F)

Our underwriting teams set us apart. Our experienced underwriting professionals use their specialized expertise to underwrite even the most complex risks innovatively and we are now looking for a Property Underwriter for the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland).
AXA XL is a global insurer, and we provide our clients with service and solutions all over the world. We are also good at connecting within the UW community and you will be supported by practice groups and international colleagues.
You will be based in the AXA XL Stockholm office and will report to the Property Underwriting Manager for the Nordics.
The Property, Energy and Construction portfolio is growing and there will be good opportunities to develop your skills. We are working tightly with the Nordic broking community and some travelling will be expected. However, you will to large extent plan your own schedule.
We are primarily working from the office 3 days minimum; we do however have good flexibility to ensure a work/life balance.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Underwrite, manage and service a renewal book and produce new profitable business
• Contribute to the team’s and your own development
• Building and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients
• Maintain and further develop expertise with the products, services and markets
• Support the business planning and forecasting process
• Follow up on claims development and support the claims department
• Identify and drive new product development opportunities

SHARE YOUR TALENT

We’re looking for someone who has these qualifications and skills:

• Several years of relevant experience in property underwriting, ideally in a Nordic country. Other experience from Energy or Construction underwriting would be an advantage
• A team player, ready to share your experience
• Driven and good negotiator
• Solution oriented approach - ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation
• Analytical and logical thinker
• Decision making ability
• Languages: Swedish and English. Any other Nordic language orientation is an advantage
