Description

As a Senior Gameplay Engineer at World Makers, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the systems that power our online games. You will work closely with our game design and engineering team to ensure that our online games push the capabilities of Unreal Engine.
This is a hybrid role. The successful applicant will be expected to spend two days per week onsite in Cambridge, UK.

REQUIREMENTS

At least 5 years of game development experience
Strong programming background and experience with using C++
Experience in contributing to large, complex codebases
Experience in creating features for a networked, multiplayer, game
Solid understanding of mathematical principles relevant to game development
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders
Comfortable in working closely with Game Designers and/or owning large parts of the design process

BONUS SKILLS

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience working with Unreal Engine
Experience with console development
Broad experience across multiple gameplay-adjacent systems (i.e. AI, Animation, UI)
A passion for games as an artform
