Position Summary The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of facility buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained manufacturing environment. This role supports day-to-day operations by addressing maintenance requests, conducting preventative maintenance, and assisting with facility improvements. Requirements Perform general building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and basic HVAC work Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs andsafety concerns Respond to maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, tools, and facility systems Repair or replace fixtures, doors, lighting, flooring, and other facility components Maintain shop equipment, tools, and maintenance supplies in good working order Assist with facility modifications, equipment moves, and layout changes Support compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed Document completed work, inspections, and repairs Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of general maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environment preferred Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry systems Ability to read work orders, safety instructions, and basic technical documentation Strong understanding of safety practices in an industrial setting Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
