Power Platform Technician (with Excel Systems Support)
Location: Near Maidstone, Kent – Onsite preferred (with some flexibility)
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 depending on experience

Clock House Farm is deep into a journey of digital transformation—and you’ll be right in the engine room. We’ve already built over 30 custom systems to improve the way we manage our operations, from crop management to business planning. But to keep pace with future plans, we’re growing the team.
We’re looking for a Power Platform Technician with a strong foundation in Excel and an interest in building smarter, scalable tools using the Microsoft Power Platform.
Role and Responsibilities

In short: you’ll help keep our digital systems running smoothly—while contributing to the future we’re building.

  • Maintain and improve a range of existing internal tools, many of which are Excel-based but increasingly connected to Power BI and Power Platform.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in Power Query (M Language), Excel formulas, and Power BI datasets.
  • Support the rollout of new tools, assisting with user testing, feedback gathering, and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with our Data Analyst & Power Platform Developer to identify areas of improvement and co-develop new systems in Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Grow into a more developer-oriented role, taking ownership of small projects and automations over time.

What You’ll Need
This is a mid-level, hands-on role—not entry level, but you don’t need to be an expert.

Essential:

  • 1–3 years working with Excel and/or data-driven systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel (formulas, data validation, error handling)
  • Exposure to Power BI and Power Query (M Language)—confident navigating and editing queries
  • A logical, problem-solving mindset and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with users
  • Willingness to work primarily onsite, especially during the onboarding phase

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting or building Power Apps or Power Automate flows
  • Comfort working with stakeholders to understand problems and translate them into system tweaks
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn from a range of resources (Microsoft Learn, Tech forums – e.g. Stack Overflow, Google, ChatGPT)
  • Experience documenting fixes, improvements, or usage instructions
