Lead AP Clerk
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Lead AP Clerk for our Imperial Wagyu Beef Team within JBS Regional Beef. In this role, you will provide essential support to the wagyu cattle procurement team by performing a wide variety of day-to-day tasks. This includes accounting, data management, reporting, and communicating tasks. Primary responsibilities are spread across a number of five functional areas: cattle cost and lot tracking, harvest data management, accounts payable, feed yard communication, and cattle producer communication. Accuracy and a high level of attention to detail are important attributes for an individual to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Compute incoming cattle costs, enter feed bills into cattle tracking software, and process for payment
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing for cattle and bull tracking
• Create, invoice, ship, and track bull leases with JBS cattle producers
• Participate in cattle forecasting meetings and track agreements
• Track, organize, and ship cattle DNA samples
• Report and track headcount discrepancies to ownership groups, and provide monthly support documentation
• Communicate with feed yards, review, enter, and update spreadsheets to track cost and performance
• Perform clerical duties including answering phone calls and emails, reconciling information, creating and updating Excel spreadsheets, data entry, etc.
• Create and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Agricultural Business, or similar preferred
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Work, & OneNote)
• A valid Driver’s License
• Experience entering a high volume of data in a timely manner
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• SAP, QlikSense, or other data analysis experience preferred
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Base salary range of $23-$25/hr; and

This compensation range is specific to this role and takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the role.
