General Summary: The Activity Coordinator works closely with the Director and is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of a variety of activities to enrich the lives of Senior residents. This position will offer excellent customer service and make the needs of our residents a priority by implementing the ten hospitality promises in daily work. Periodic evening and weekend work required. Essential Job Duties: Coordinate and implement recreational and educational activities, programs, events, and outing for independent living Senior residents. Produce resident newsletter, flyers and calendar using the TouchTown platform for the resident and employee portal, Community Apps. Maintain the online calendar and implement new resources from TouchTown. Research appropriate education courses, activities, outings, and programs and maintain working relationships with instructors, artists/performers, and other partners. Reserve, monitor and supervise meeting rooms and public spaces for residents using the Worxhub scheduling platform. Operate multi-media systems to include sound and video projection for programs, events and meetings. Work with resident volunteers to assist in the planning of activities, programs, meetings and events. Liaison to Resident and Employee Committees. Attend staff and resident meetings. Coordinate resident outings with the Leisure Committee and Transportation Manager. Maintain computer files to include folders and resident databases.
