ABOUT US
The purpose of the Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women and Children is to promote the development of community-centered action research on the prevention of violence against women and children. The Centre facilitates individuals, groups and institutions representing the diversity of the community to pursue research questions and training opportunities related to the understanding and prevention of abuse.

The Research & Knowledge Mobilization Specialist will conduct literature reviews and evaluate primary research to identify and determine the information that should be integrated and shared as prevailing research related to violence against women and children. The role will author knowledge mobilization and dissemination materials directly, and in collaboration with community partners and the Centre’s communications professionals, to profile and promote relevant information and research in the field. The Specialist will research topics and themes related to violence against women and children, and manage the development and maintenance of relationships and partnerships with stakeholders across the province and the country. The role will apply their expertise and knowledge to research projects under the direction of the Community Partnership Leader, and will have responsibility for training staff, graduate students, undergraduate students and/or post-doctoral fellows related to research and knowledge mobilization activities.
