DUTIES: Maintains fixed assets inventory; determines when items need to be replaced; processes surplus equipment, material and/or property. Understand, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures as needed. Working under limited supervision, coordinates and supervises the business affairs of the Health Services Department. Prepare monthly/quarterly reports, reviews/analyzes general ledger. Completes payroll reconciliation, validation and verification. Supervises one position, Administrative Specialist. Assists in preparation of the organization's budget; monitor status; approve and code expenditures; compiles data. Coordinates travel requests and expense reimbursement requests. Completes purchasing card (p-card) reconciliations each month. Requirements / Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, accounting or any discipline related to the work assigned. One year of experience in planning, organizing, and implementing program administrative or business financial functions. Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications: Strong attention to detail. Ability to review and interpret financial data. Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Experience with computer, financial, or accounting systems/software (such as the State of Nebraska Payroll and Financial Center {PFC}), and experience with computer software applications (such as Word, Excel, Power Point).
