Reports To Software Engineering Manager We're looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to be the technical leader and subject matter expert for our API and streaming platform. In this high-impact role, you will be instrumental in defining and building a world-class API-first strategy, and you will directly influence our long-term technical vision. This role requires hands-on expertise in all aspects of API development, from architecture and implementation to management and observability. What You Will Be Doing Lead the technical strategy and hands-on development of our API-first and streaming platform. You will serve as the internal subject matter expert, guiding the team in building scalable, reliable, and secure systems. Be a hands-on contributor, developing and maintaining a world-class platform. Your work will involve building and maintaining core services like Authentication and API Gateway (both public and internal), as well as OCPI-based APIs and Transition Layers. Drive the adoption of best practices for API-related functions, including API Management, Gateway, Translation, Migration, Service Mesh, Access Control, Observability, and Documentation. You'll work autonomously on highly unique and significant issues where analysis requires a deep understanding of complex, often intangible, factors.
