The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Inspector for our Transportation-Construction management (T-CM) Practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a Senior Inspector you will observe the contractors work to determine the progress and quality of work on construction projects. Essential Functions: Identify discrepancies, report significant discrepancies to supervisor, and direct the Contractor to correct such observed discrepancies Work independently, under general supervision, exercising advanced judgment in the application of standard methodologies and procedures for complex projects Perform highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making, and checking engineering computations Inspecting construction work and conducting field tests and is responsible for coordinating and managing lower level inspectors Reads and interprets contract documents (plans and specifications) to determine if the contractor’s work is in substantial compliance with the contract documents.
