· Pump service Engineer / technician role involves mechanical & electrical service, repairs & installation of various types of water and wastewater pumps. The Engineers role has a wide variety of work
· Pump maintenance service and installation work carried out on site which requires travel and sometimes overnight stay (4-5 times a year)
· Mechanical pump overhaul repairs at the workshop base.
· Steel fabrication work to manufacture of our Specialised Spring loaded Access covers design carried out at the workshop .
· Responsibility for Spare parts & material purchase ordering and organisation of parts for jobs carried out from office on a weekly basis
· When on site and travelling, the job can sometimes require working outside of hours to finish a job to ensure a Pump system is left operational. In this event any additional work is rewarded.
Skills: Good work ethic and ability to work with others and also self motivated to work on their own. Ideal candidates would have good manual skills and dexterity working with tools and a good technical understanding in mechanical / electrical work. Familiarity & experience with CAD would also be beneficial. Ability to follow job-list instructions and attention to technical detail is important. Good Safety awareness and ability to follow safety rules is essential.
