Conduct regular inspections and diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, and automated kitchen and laundry equipment. Replace or repair faulty parts, such as motors, heating elements, bearings, and belts. Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities and service reports. Ensure all kitchen and laundry equipment operates efficiently and safely, in compliance with company and local safety regulations. Implement proactive maintenance strategies to prevent breakdowns and minimize operational disruptions. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and procurement of spare parts. Work collaboratively with kitchen and housekeeping teams to schedule maintenance and repairs with minimal impact on operations. Assist in training operational staff on proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting techniques. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and implement immediate corrective actions. Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts to reduce equipment downtime. Participate in after-hours on-call duty as required. Qualifications Diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Refrigeration Engineering. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment brands (e.g., Rational, Electrolux, Hobart). Solid understanding of electrical wiring and HVAC systems related to kitchen and laundry operations. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in hotel engineering maintenance. Proven track record in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and vendors. Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems. Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond to emergency calls as needed.
