Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of vending machines, refrigeration units, electronics, conveyors, and other equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficient repairs. This role plays a vital part in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring smooth operations across multiple locations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Preventive Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:

• Perform preventive maintenance planning for all vending machines and related equipment.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are performed timely to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.

1. Maintenance Activities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance of vending machines, refrigeration units, electronics, conveyors, etc., to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in equipment.
• Assist the Technical Manager in implementing new technologies and upgrades to improve equipment performance.
• Carry out maintenance activities as per the maintenance schedule and job orders.

1. Emergency and Breakdown Maintenance:

• Schedule and dispatch technicians promptly to address emergency and breakdown maintenance issues.
• Ensure quick resolution of issues to minimize equipment downtime.

1. Monitoring and Measurement:

• Monitor and measure equipment downtime and maintenance planning efficiency.
• Analyze maintenance data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.

1. Coordination with Operations Team:

2. Work closely with the operations team to ensure the operational availability of all equipment at all times.

• Communicate any maintenance activities or issues that might affect operations. 6. Creating Job Orders:
• Generate and manage job orders for all maintenance activities.
• Ensure that all maintenance tasks are authorized and documented properly.

1. Stock Management:

• Coordinate with the storage team to ensure optimal stock levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts as needed to prevent shortages.

1. Vendor Management:

• Coordinate with external maintenance service providers for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Evaluate and select external vendors based on service quality, response time, and cost-effectiveness.

1. Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and ensure all job orders are documented and completed accurately.

1. Continual Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency.
• Encourage culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.

• Mandatory adherence to the company’s Quality Management System Work Experience:
• At least three years in handing maintenance activities of smart machineries in relevant industry
• Team Management: handling a minimum of 5 team members
• Middle East working experience is an advantage

Academic Education:

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Certifications:

• Certificate or Diploma in computer simulations, sensor electronics, IoT is an added advantage Trainings:
• Specialized trainings, workshops or seminars relevant to industry

Licenses:

• LMV license Other

• Ability to use troubleshooting software, task management platforms and other generate reports
