Overview:
The ADMS Application Engineer will be an essential part of our team to grow our practice in the Operational Technology and Real-Time Systems domain. The ADMS Application Engineer will work on client-facing projects, helping solve our clients’ toughest challenges.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

• Implementation of control systems at electric utilities that improve their efficiency to operate the modern grid while ensuring contract requirements and specifications are met
• Participate in design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects
• Maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of the ADMS system
• Support switch order creation & management
• Installation and configuration of advanced distribution management applications such as Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), and Volt/VAR Control & Optimization (VVC/VVO).
• Support testing events with the customer
• Work closely with Vendor development teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and test product changes
• Performing SCADA model updates. Interface with the utility’s Geographic Information System (GIS) teams to extract, translate, and load the electrical network model to the Distribution Management System
• Configure and integrate software components to meet contract requirement specifications and test with customers
• Train customers on how to operate the systems being delivered
• Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues observed on live systems

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent working experience in lieu of degree
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar Application Engineering role
• Industry experience with SCADA, Advanced Distribution (ADMS), Outage (OMS), or Switch Order (SOM) Management Systems
• Experience with GE eTerra platform
• Programming and scripting experience (C/python)
• Strong work ethic including willingness to learn and investigate new technologies and problems
• Database and data structure knowledge and experience (SQL, XML, Mongo, GIS)
• Strong experience troubleshooting complex systems and software applications
• Knowledge of system designs, computer systems, engineering practices, and control systems
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
• Proven ability to organize and prioritize work within tight timelines
• Willingness to travel (25% average)

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range: USD $85,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr
