An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Technician to join the team with Lintott, who are part of the Galliford Try Group.
Ideally, you will based in or around the Norwich area.
Lintott Control Systems is a multi-award winning Process Solutions Provider.
We specialise in the design, manufacture & after-care of factory-built, packaged Water & Wastewater Treatment Systems, Process Software/Systems Integration & Electrical Control Panels.
This role would suit somebody with experience in a similar role, from a mechanical/mechanical fitter background. Perhaps you’ve gained experience working as a mechanical fitter or you’ve worked in a previous role dealing with pumps, pipework, pressure testing or valves. You might come from a commercial or domestic background, or have experience working with plumbing or heating.
We’re seeking a highly motivated hands-on team player to ensure our products are built and assembled ‘right first time’ efficiently and in line with designs, specifications and production schedules.
The nature of work can include fitting of piping and the installation of sub-assemblies & large equipment/apparatus.
Day to day, you’ll be undertaking the mechanical assembly and pipe work (where applicable), in accordance with procedures, instructions & drawings.
You’ll be responsible for checking that issued components/equipment complies with job parts lists and Bill of Materials, reporting any problems, errors or shortages to the Production Management as soon as possible.
You’ll also take care of preparing finished equipment for dispatch, loading and unloading vehicles as required and liaising effectively with all colleagues and external stakeholders.
As and when required, you might need to attend site and assist with site-based activities, such as installation.
