JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

Works directly with Clients and project managers in the planning and execution of technical activities on projects related marine engineering works.
Employs existing guidelines and instructions, guidance from higher authority, experience, and independent judgment to plan and accomplish task objectives. Assignments may require the development of improvements and review of current designs, techniques, and procedures.
Applies naval architectural knowledge in accordance with applicable regulatory body rules, regulations, and industry standards to develop analyses and production in one or more of the following technical areas:

• Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality Control Supervisor non-conformances reports.
• Monitors observations of the correct coding cycles.
• Performs visuals inspections.
• Candidate will provide engineering and technical guidance, Track, categorize, and report identified lifecycle and modernization issues
• Review issues and identify potential technically acceptable solutions
• Participate in change management process
• Assist in the development of modernization packages
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• At least 5 Years’ experience Engineering Drawings (Marine & Offshore)
• Experience (10 Years +) in marine engineering & systems integration: Shipyard, naval, offshore experience
• Marine equipment, structural, Thermal insulation & Coating technical knowledge
• Good working knowledge of current and impending regulations and legislation
• Must be capable of multi-tasking and work under pressure to maintain agreed project deadlines and budgets
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with shipboard and shore side management, employees, shipyards and sub-contractors
• Must be highly proficient in the use of computer business applications and internet technology and project planning and management tools
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for negotiating, presenting and resolving complex technical, inter-personal and commercial issues
