Job Overview The Settlement Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end loan settlement process across a high volume of transactions. Monitor pipeline to prioritise urgent and time-sensitive matters, ensuring all settlement deadlines are achieved. Accurately prepare and review loan documentation, ensuring compliance with lender and regulatory requirements. Liaise with brokers and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and minimise delays. Manage multiple files concurrently in a high-volume environment, maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Provide proactive updates to clients and brokers to ensure all parties are informed and confident throughout the process. Identify and escalate risks or barriers to timely settlement. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on process gaps or bottlenecks. Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in lending support, credit, or mortgage operations within the Australian market. Previous experience in loan settlements, banking operations, or mortgage administration (essential). Strong knowledge of lender requirements, loan documentation, and the settlement process. Ability to manage a large caseload while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients, brokers, and third parties under pressure.
