POSITION SUMMARY
As an integral member of the Residential Programs and Full Time Attendance Program (FTAP) team, the Overnight Support Worker (ONSW) – Awake is responsible for providing supervision and support to youth overnight in a staff resource residence. The primary focus is to ensure a safe, supportive environment that promotes the health, well-being and empowerment of all youth participants, including those in FTAP, Turning Point and YP3.
Key responsibilities include:
The ONSW models intentional, outcome-focused practice and applies a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, choice and self-determination. The ONSW is responsible for adopting the Agency’s Values and Code of Ethics to guide decision-making and professional behaviour and complying with CARF accreditation standards, Agency policies, procedures and practices.
