This job is for someone who has a strong understanding of Quark XPress, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro and InDesign. The job entails managing and creating ads and other promotion material for a bi-weekly bilingual community newspaper located in West Quebec. It also included pre-press work and uploading of files to the printer by a specific deadline.
The successful candidate will communicate directly with the sales representatives and clients; set-up the layout of the ads in the paper according to sales statistics; design the ads, special sections and promo material for the sales department and update the website bi-weekly. They will also attend bi-weekly staff meetings, in person, and be able to work under strict deadlines. They must be open-minded and enjoy working in a team. Biligualism is a strong asset. Hours are flexible ranging between 30 - 40 hours every two week cycle. There is also the possibility of other contracts for other in-house projects throughout the year.

Pay: $27.00-$33.75 per hour
