JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a smooth operation in the kitchen environment. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety practices is a plus but can be taught on the job. Join our team as a Kitchen Assistant and contribute to creating delicious meals while gaining valuable experience in the culinary field!

Responsibilities
  • Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors when items are low.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food is prepared and stored safely.
  • Support the serving staff during meal service by preparing plates and assisting with food presentation.
  • Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to maintain a hygienic work environment.
