Together, PHC and FHA operate Chenchenstway Long-Term Care Facility, a 216-bed complex long-term care site in South Burnaby under shared clinical and operational leadership. The goal is to deliver exceptional resident care through a unified vision and a “one site” model.
As the Director, Clinical Operations. You will be a key clinical and operational leader, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care to residents and their families at Chenchenstway. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams from both PHC and FHA to ensure the highest standard of service and a positive, engaging experience for all. This role promotes a safe, respectful, and civil working environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff, while upholding the shared values of compassion, innovation, and trust across both organizations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Collaboration: Serve as the Site Leader for Chenchenstway, working closely with clinical, corporate, and support leaders from both PHC and FHA to ensure smooth operations and effective service delivery. This unique partnership means shared responsibilities across both organizations, providing a collaborative environment for all stakeholders.
Operational & Clinical Oversight: Lead the interdisciplinary team in the efficient and effective delivery of care and services, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and regulatory standards from both PHC and FHA.
Strategic Direction & Vision: Support the implementation of a unified vision for resident care, promoting an environment of comfort, empowerment, and individualized support for residents’ physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Staff Development & Engagement: Foster a positive, respectful, and civil working environment, promoting a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement among staff, residents, and families.
Quality of Care & Innovation: Ensure that quality care and life-enhancing experiences are consistently delivered to residents, incorporating innovative approaches to long-term care and maintaining high standards of service.
Joint Reporting & Accountability: Report jointly to the Vice President, Seniors Care, Clinical and Operations (PHC) and the Executive Director, Burnaby Hospital & Health Services (FHA), ensuring that operational and clinical goals align with the strategic objectives of both organizations.
