Job Vacancy THE ROLE Due to growth, we are recruiting a Probate Lawyer (in the region of 3 years PQE) based at Braintree. We will consider applicates who are looking for a full or part-time working pattern. The Braintree office is a well-established Private Client hub and within this role you will work alongside a Senior Associate managing an existing case load while developing it further. You will join a large, successful and well-respected Private Client team who are based across our 7 regional offices, and which include fellow Fee Earners, Will Drafters, a Tax Specialist and a strong legal support team. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of their own of probate and estate administration matters, delivering high-quality, client-focused legal services while supporting the continued development of the department. You will required to be a standalone lawyer manging a caseload but you will receive excellent support from a Senior Associate and from our Probate Administration Team. The Day to Day: Managing a full caseload of probate and estate administration matters from start to finish. Estates will be taxable and non-taxable. Assisting clients in fixed fee interviews where appropriate. Working with members of the commercial team to answer queries they may have on estate administration issues. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal procedures Supervising and supporting junior staff where appropriate Assisting with business development and maintaining strong client relationships Contributing to the growth and reputation of the Private Client department. WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED? You must be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with between 1 and 3 yrs PQE dealing with estate administration. You must be able to demonstrate: A solid understanding of administering estates Experience in understanding Inheritance Tax calculations. WHAT SKILLS SHOULD I HAVE? Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels Must be able to impart key information in a manner which is easily understood Self-motivated, organised with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
