Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Manager, Testing & Automation to join a premier financial services organization based in Mclean, VA. This leadership role will oversee the testing and automation architecture for decision rules across lending systems. This position will be hybrid in Mclean, VA!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SR. MANAGER, TESTING & AUTOMATION INCLUDE:

  • 10+ years of experience with server-side web technologies (Java, C#, Python, etc.)
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct management experience
  • Experience with modern/open-source testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter
  • Proficiency in RESTful web services via JSON or XML
  • Knowledge of Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and decisioning systems highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies
  • Strong leadership, communication, and architectural decision-making skills
Responsibilities
  • Develop staffing models for testing teams, including sizing, structure, KPIs, and vendor management
  • Collaborate with product owners and rules developers to strategize test scenarios for credit policies and features
  • Engineer test suites for web UI, agent applications, RESTful APIs, and web services
  • Create and maintain software quality assurance (SQA) test plans
  • Establish QA automation and performance testing infrastructure for complex end-to-end and integration tests
  • Decompose complex algorithms into testable components and validate new and existing products
  • Deliver summary analysis of testing results to senior leadership
  • Track and report QA metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts
  • Document and escalate system defects and risks appropriately
  • Mentor junior team members and share best practices
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Consumer Banking to support testing of complex credit policy rules
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate internal processes
  • Assist developers with test development and stay current with new testing tools and strategies
