Overview Business Development Manager - Medical Devices / Infusion Technology South-West England Fresenius Kabi is a global healthcare company that specializes in lifesaving medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition. Our product portfolio included a comprehensive range of IV generic drugs, infusion therapies and clinical nutrition products as well as the medical devices for administering these products. The Role Operating predominantly in Secondary Care, encompassing all members of the MDT's, you will maintain and grow existing Infusion Technology business. You will be used to operating at both operational and strategic levels and will drive the profitability of your territory. With responsibility for implementing Infusion Technology’s business development strategy, you'll thrive on identifying new business opportunities, maintaining key relationships and negotiating and closing business opportunities. At all times, you 'll need to offer an unmatched service to our customers across the South West area. Responsibilities Identify and analyse the market, key customers, trends, NHS funding routes and purchasing bodies Maintain tender universe in order to quantify sales opportunities Accurately identify key decision makers, influencers and key opinion leaders in all accounts Monitor sales & profitability in accounts vs targets and report monthly on these Identify trends in your accounts and specific therapy areas Implement strategies for retention and growth of business Analyse opportunities to improve current ways of working, must have a proactive attitude and have an understanding of the larger organisation and its stakeholders to drive change to maintain the company’s competitive edge Maintain up to date records of key customers and meetings using the company electronic territory management system (ETMS) and to create business plans that reflect strategy for achieving targets and company objectives Work closely and build credibility and trust with both Infusion Technology internal & external teams, acting as an intermediary whilst remaining an advocate for the company at all times Demonstrate key account management skills, listening to customer complaints and needs, understanding and addressing concerns in a reliable and efficient manner Work closely with the operations teams to trouble-shoot and provide solutions to the customer in a timely manner Complete reports, minutes, tenders and business proposals in line with the company’s SOPs Deliver excellent customer service whilst maintaining focus on the patients’ needs and consistently identifying opportunity to deliver added value Represent Infusion Technology at National, Regional and local events as and when required Respect, and promote the key company values when in front of customers and all dealings with teams Qualifications Proven sales success within Medical Devices Salesforce CRM experience is essential Good knowledge of the territory and strong existing relationships Excellent communication skills and business acumen Experience in a clinical setting desirable but not essential A positive attitude with strong initiative To be self-motivated but able to work as part of a team Good organisational and time-management skills Good negotiation skills and persuasiveness Confidence presenting to large groups of people Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information Benefits Private healthcare (including GP appointments) Healthcare cashback scheme (including dental, optical & alternative therapies Company car or car allowance Contributory Pension Scheme (rises with service) Role specific tailored training and development plan Life Insurance (4 x salary, death in service) 25 days holiday (rises to 27 after 5 years service) and ability to buy/sell holidays Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Leave Professional fees paid Bike to work scheme Long Service Awards Employee Assistance Programme Free onsite parking and subsidised canteen Blue Light Card Company funded family days out We are proud to foster a workplace free from discrimination.
