Together, we can achieve greatness.     Job Purpose: To operate forklifts (sit-down) safely and efficiently; handles all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; loading / unloading of RJW truck / trailers and outside carriers safely and using proper procedures; ensures all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; responsible for properly storing stock in the warehouse; performs duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities. Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Maintains forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assists Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse. • Ability to operate reach truck and /or walkie-rider. • General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment. • Loads and unloads RJW truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment. • Flexible to work 10 to 12 hours shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights. • Picking and moving stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times. • Ensures all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly. • Maintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping. • Processing outbound cross-dock freight as necessary. • Oversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks. • Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. • Records and verifies the accuracy of the shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments / deliveries. • Ensures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed. • Operates forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures. o This includes wearing of seatbelts at all times when operating the forklift. • Completes daily forklift maintenance inspections. • Handles all customer products properly and orderly. • Checks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage.
