SAIC is currently hiring for a Logistics Support in Indianapolis, IN. This position is full time and in person. Job Duties: Researching and identifying potential suppliers, assessing their quality, reliability, and pricing. Preparing and processing purchase orders, requisitions, bids, and allocating bank statements. Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with suppliers. Generate and maintain reports on material status, inventory levels, and production records. This includes compiling weekly status reports and ensuring compliance with procurement requirements. Oversee receiving, and distribution of materials to ensure that production processes run smoothly. Work closely with various departments, including production, logistics and engineering to coordinate the efficient flow of materials and ensure that all departments have the necessary resources. Prepare and manage shipping schedules, evaluate production schedules and determine material requirements to ensure availability. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position. Required Education and Experience: High school degree with five (5) years of experience. Procurement or accounting experience required. Excellent communications skills; Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent Microsoft Office experience. Materials management, Customer focused, Cash handling, Shipping/Receiving. Required Security Clearance: No security clearance is required but must be able to pass a background screen. US Citizenship required.
