The Lydmar Hotel prides itself on being one of the hippest places in town. And it certainly lives up to it’s reputation. It breathes creativity with its slick design, colourful design features and home-from-home atmosphere. The personally selected art collection in the hallways, impressive bookshelves at the bar and individually decorated rooms give you the feeling of stepping into a beautiful bohemian manor. It’s not hard to see why the Lydmar has made such a name amongst art aficionados and music lovers, with a constant stream of art exhibitions, music concerts and events attracting the crème de la crème of the art world.

Location

The Lydmar hotel is located in one of the most prestigious spots in the Stockholm. Nestled between the Grand hotel and the National Museum, the Lydmar faces water on both sides with stunning views the Royal Palace opposite. The Old Town is a stone’s throw away, with the hotel never being far from the best museums, galleries, restaurants, shopping and nightlife that Stockholm has to offer.

Your room

The effortlessly chic, earth tone rooms are a brilliant mix of old and new, with thoughtful attention to detail from the unique light fixtures to the exceptional wall art. A stay at the Lydmar is described as “being an undisturbed guest in someone’s home”, the informal atmosphere certainly seems to reflect this. No two rooms are designed the same, the only similarities being the stylish wooden floors, large windows and reflection of European elegance that is synonymous with Stockholm.

Why we like it

We love being at the centre of all the action. Amidst art exhibitions, live Jazz and Stockholm’s most creative individuals with a Bellini in hand, it’s the way Stockholm is meant to be experienced. The staff will go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It’s the little details we can’t get enough of, like choosing you own music in the lift – you never know, you might even start your own little party as you are making the ride.
