Updating and reviewing practice management resources and risk management policies. Collaborating with the team of conflict resolvers to support the day-to-day operation of the firm’s conflict of interest process and ethical dividers. Working on the conflicts and compliance processes related to lawyer onboarding and offboarding. Preparing and delivering presentations on risk management and law society regulatory issues. Reviewing law society professionalism and practice management resources. Researching and drafting memos on areas related to ethics and risk management. What you bring to the role Certificate in Law or Paralegal Diploma combined with experience as a paralegal. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Paralegal. Strong bilingual (French and English) communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Advanced computer skills are required Excellent organizational/follow up skills; attention to detail, proofreading and accuracy are required. Excellent time management skills; ability to effectively manage conflicting requirements and priorities. Demonstrated ability to handle privileged and confidential information with sensitivity and discretion. A positive, enthusiastic, and teamwork approach to day-to-day workflow is considered an asset. Ability to work well both autonomously and as part of a team Self-motivated to achieve high standards in all aspects of work. Strong interpersonal and client service skills.
