Mechanical Technicians at a Glance
These teams are the foundation to our production facility. When it comes to assembling and preparing multimillion dollar optical systems for delivery to a Search and Rescue agency, or a global military customer – this is the go-to team that makes it all happen.
It’s also a role that allows smart people who are either starting their careers or looking for something new a chance to get into L3 WESCAM, learn about our technology in the most hands-on way possible, and grow with us into more complex and rewarding careers.
Many of our Mechanical Technicians are often selected to move on into Quality, Design or Manufacturing Engineering roles depending on your expertise. If you technically skilled, are drawn to engineering types of work and are thinking about a starting a career in one of the best companies around, then we’d love to talk to you.
Expertise We Look For
Our Mechanical Technicians assemble, tune and troubleshoot complex electromechanical assemblies as well as track non-conformance with tracking assembly documents. They have a good understanding of technical drawings and schematics and can handle a variety of tools that support soldering, crimping and detailed measurement.
We run three shifts including Days, Evenings and Weekends. When you apply, please let us know which of these shifts works for you. Feel free to select all three if you’re flexible

We specifically look for:

• 1 to 2 years in either the Mechanical or Electronics field
• A Diploma or Degree in a Mechanical or Electrical Technician field of study
• The ability to understand and follow complex schematics
• A strong technical aptitude that includes an interest and ability to assemble complex precision electro-optical and opto mechanical sub-assemblies
• Communication skills that will allow you to interact with many other disciplines found in our production environment.
