DATA AND SOLUTIONS ENGINEER

The Data Engineer for the CSM project is responsible for enabling and delivering the data platform (e.g., data warehouse) for the project’s analytics use. This includes establishing the end-to-end data for the project’s analytics pipeline including ingesting data from a variety of data sources (e.g., SNOW, Dynatrace, AzDO) and creating datasets for analytics and reporting purposes.
The ideal candidate is a Data Engineer with experience in data architecture and analytic solutions.
Accountable to the Project Delivery Manager, primarily providing data engineering services to the divisional Core Services Metrics (CSM) project and working in close collaboration with teams in the Data Services, and Data Analytics & Delivery departments.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools
• Proven competency with more than one of the following:
• Advanced SQL skills including stored procedures and data transformation.
• Advanced API integration skills (for data ingestion).
• Expertise in Power Query (M) for data cleansing, transformation, and building reusable dataflows.
• Experience designing optimized data models and star schemas for high-performance reporting.
• Ability to implement row-level security and manage workspace permissions in Power BI Service.
• Skilled in developing interactive dashboards & visualizations tailored to executive and operational needs.
• Advanced DAX skills to create complex measures, calculated tables, and dynamic KPIs.
• Familiarity with performance tuning techniques (aggregations, incremental refresh, query folding).
