Description Job ID AF9765-2002-1891 Position Classification FT Administrator Position Summary The Admission Counselor position serves a vital role in the success of enrollment management by identifying and engaging prospective students, executing recruitment strategies and managing the matriculation rate of new, undergraduate students. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage assigned recruitment territory through prospect relationship management, leveraging partnerships, relationships, market research, admission/enrollment data, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to increase prospective student interaction and influence admission yield. Initiate and maintain contact with high school and community college students, counselors, and other school administrators through individual and group interactions. Recruit at day and evening events as a representative of the University. Review academic qualifications and make admissions decisions. Communicate University information to prospective students from the inquiry stage through matriculation. Manage and coordinate programs for assigned liaison(s) roles between Admissions Office and other Detroit Mercy departments. Collaborate with various University stakeholders during the recruitment and enrollment process. Evaluate data from self-initiated and standard reports to determine appropriate actions to reach enrollment goals. Create new markets by identifying populations for outreach and develop and implement activities aimed at increasing University visibility. Assist with day-to-day functions of the Admissions Office and other duties as necessary to support recruitment efforts. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required.
