Our integrated services span housing, behavioral health, medical respite, substance use recovery, and survivor support — meeting people where they are, with services designed around their needs. Our work is rooted in trauma-informed care and a genuine respect for the resilience of the people and communities we serve. Founded in 1978, our mission is to empower women and all people to break cycles of housing instability and violence. San Francisco's homelessness crisis falls hardest on women — particularly women of color, transgender women, and survivors of domestic violence. Community Forward SF centers women in our care model because we know that when we get care right for those facing the greatest barriers, we make the entire system stronger and more accessible for everyone. The Role The Mental Health Outpatient Program Manager (MHOPM) provides clinical and operational leadership for a multi-site program delivering integrated behavioral health services within housing and community-based settings. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends clinical supervision, program oversight, and staff development. The MHOPM supports a multidisciplinary team serving individuals with complex needs, including mental health conditions, substance use, histories of trauma, and housing instability. This role is central to ensuring that care is consistent, ethical, trauma-informed, and sustainable for both clients and staff.
