As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure our facilities and equipment operate at the highest standards.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for keeping our facilities, equipment, and housing infrastructure in safe and reliable condition. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of proven experience and the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex systems with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of proven hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role (agricultural, greenhouse, or industrial setting preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical, irrigation, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with structural maintenance, including roofing, heating, and ventilation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
• Relevant technical certifications or trade school training are an asset.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing maintenance work in varying weather conditions.
• Availability for on-call or emergency repairs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems, pumps, motors, boilers, irrigation, and climate control systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on greenhouse, nursery, and production equipment, including conveyors, ventilation, and heating systems.
• Structural Upkeep: Inspect and maintain nursery buildings, greenhouses, and seasonal worker housing. Address issues with roofing, furnaces, ventilation, plumbing, and structural components to ensure safety and functionality.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow company and regulatory safety standards. Identify hazards, conduct thorough inspections, and take prompt corrective actions.
• Inventory & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules. Track and replenish essential parts, tools, and supplies.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues, including after-hours emergencies, to minimize disruptions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with managers and production teams to prioritize repairs and support smooth operations.
